SC Freiburg is currently in the training camp in Schruns, Austria, preparing for the upcoming season. From July 22nd to the 31st, the team undergoes intensive conditioning and tactical sessions under coach Julian Schuster. The Badische Zeitung reports that this is the 20th time SC Freiburg will conduct its summer training camp in Montafon.
During this training week, a test match against SpVgg Greuther Frth is also on the agenda. The game aims to help the players optimize their condition for the new Bundesliga season and practice tactics. In the previous season, SC Freiburg achieved sensational results by reaching the final of the UEFA Europa League as well as the semi-final of the DFB-Pokal.
As part of his visit to the training camp, Christian Streich was a guest. The former SC Freiburg manager and current Sports Director is particularly interested in checking on the progress of the players and identifying potential improvement opportunities.
SC Freiburg hopes that the combination of intensive training planning and the idyllic setting of Montafon will contribute to starting a successful new season.
